Joaranda mela 2013, Mahima Magha Mela Odisha

Joranda Mahimagadi is going to celebrates Mahima Magha Mela On Sunday, 24th Feb 2013. this is one of the famous festivals of Dhenkanal district on Magha Purnima day.

Joranda Mela festival belonging to Alekh/Mahima dharma religion celebrates on the occasion of Magha Purnima day. It is a three day fair, in which the Mahima sanyasis or Mahima Saints gather to worship Mahima Gosain’s Samadhi Pitha. during this occasion the Mahima’s Gadi Mandir (Dhuni Mandir) is enlighted with lot of diyas.

This Sand Art was portrait by International sand artist Mr Manas kumar Sahoo at Puri Odisha on the occasion of most famous Odish festival "Boita Bandana"

He is the renowned international artist in sand sculptor and sand animator has prepared a sand sculpture of “Boita bandana” at the golden sea beach of Puri.

He portrait a beautiful 15ft length 7ft height boat (Boita ) by using 20 tones of sand.

Gaja Laxmi Puja Dhenkanal 2012

Odisha's most famous Dhenkanal festivals Gaja Laxmi Puja started from Monday.

The whole Dhenkanal city is full with Puja Pendals and decorates interestingly with lights and innovative decorations.

This year 38 pandals, studded with innovative themes and beautiful idols. It seems that the town is prepared to welcome the Goddess of Laxmi.

In rural area of Dhenkanal also celebrate Gaja Laxmi Puja.

The main attaction of laxmi puja in this year is the chandi medha (made of off silver) of Meena Bazaar.
